Tiger Woods and Rory McIIroy lead a field of 30 players this weekend in the 2012 TOUR Championship, to be held at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta.
Woods has been chasing McIIroy for most of the playoffs this fall, with McIIroy winning the PGA Championship, the Deutsche Bank Championship and the BMW Championship to secure the top spot in the FedExCup standings heading into the final.
Tiger Woods, who has finished in the top five in the final two playoff events, heads into the tournament second behind McIlroy in the standings. Nick Watney, Phil Mickelson and Brandt Snedeker round out the top five. If any of the top five players in the standings wins the Tour Championship, they will finish first in the FedEx Cup.
Texas native Hunter Mahan, No. 23 in the standings, will tee off on Thursday at 11:05 a.m. CT.
Snedeker is paired on Thursday with Louis Oosthuizen, teeing off at 12:35 p.m. CT, while Watney and Mickelson follow them at 12:45 p.m. CT. Woods and McIlroy are the final pairing of the day, teeing off at 12:55 p.m. CT.
