Baylor Hopes To Avoid ULM Upset

Louisana-Monroe has shown that no game is a "gimme," as the small school has made a habit of upsetting big-time programs, with a shocking win over Alabama in 2007 and a even bigger surprise over then-No. 8 Arkansas last week in overtime. Baylor coach Art Briles is making sure his team knows that, with an expected cupcake matchup with Sam Houston State next up for the Bears.

After that game? A Friday-night affair with the upset kids at ULM themselves. Briles isn't taking either team for granted.

"Both of them are tough games, and we play them in a six-day span," Briles told The Oklahoman. "We have a lot of respect for what Sam Houston State did last year. And they've upgraded their personnel. We're just working on our end, trying to be the best we can be."
