MLS Standings 2012: FC Dallas Remains In Sixth

FC Dallas remains in sixth place in the Western Conference standings, as the club only played a friendly this past week.

FC Dallas lost to Leon FC on penalty kicks over the weekend, but that had no consequence on the Western Conference standings. FC Dallas still trails the Vancouver Whitecaps by four points -- though Vancouver has played one less game than FC Dallas has this season.

On Saturday, FC Dallas will have that prime opportunity to gain ground on Vancouver, as the two clubs square off in Dallas. If FC Dallas is going to make a comeback and make the playoffs this year, then this game is must-win.

FC Dallas trails the LA Galaxy, the fourth place team, by 10 points -- a seemingly insurmountable difference at this point. San Jose, Seattle and Real Salt Lake sit atop the standings, in first, second and third.

Full standings can be viewed here, at Major League Soccer's official website.
