TCU and Texas are both ranked in every major poll to start the 2012 college football season. The Horned Frogs range from No. 11 to No. 20, while the Longhorns check in between No. 9 and No. 17.
Jason Kirk, of SB Nation, compiled some of the more prominent rankings into a composite Top 25. Kirk's table has Texas at No. 13 with TCU at No. 17. The ratings used seven different polls:
Included in the composite Top 25 below are the coaches' and AP polls, BCS guru Samuel Chi's projected BCS standings (which contain the funniest fact out of everything included here -- there's a BCS computer that doesn't rank the Florida State Seminoles at all), the final preseason edition of SB Nation's BlogPoll (which logs polls from our dozens of college football communities), Football Outsiders' projected F/+ rankings, the SI.com Top 25*, and our own SB Nation Studios Top 25 Countdown (which was concocted via a secret formula less esoteric than the BCS').
The Longhorns and Horned Frogs will meet as Big-12 members for the first time on Nov. 22 in Austin.
