FC Dallas only has seven games left in the 2012 MLS regular season, and they also have some work to do. Dallas (8-11-8) is currently in sixth place with 32 points after a 2-0 loss to the Los Angeles Galaxy on Sunday. The loss was a devastating one as the Dallas pursues Vancouver Whitecaps FC and the Galaxy for the fifth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
Both Vancouver and Los Angeles are five points ahead of Dallas. Los Angeles also has an extra game to play on the season, meaning they could have three extra points to earn. Chivas USA could also be a factor, as they have four extra games to play than Dallas and they sit four points behind Dallas.
Dallas will host the Seattle Sounders this coming Sunday.
