The Barclays 2012: Nick Watney Finishes At 10-Under, Wins The Tournament

Nick Watney has won the 2012 Barclays tournament from Bethpage Black Course in New York with a 2-under 69 on Sunday. He finished 10-under for the tournament.

Watney entered Sunday trailing Sergio Garcia by two strokes, as he finished Saturday's round at even-par, while Garcia ended the day 2-under. However, Watney birdied six holes on Sunday, which helped offset four bogeys. Meanwhile, Garcia fell apart in the middle of the round, bogeying three out of four holes during the stretch from eight through 11. He also bogeyed on holes one and 18, and only had one birdie on the day.

Sunday's win was the sixth of Watney's PGA career, and likely the best to date. Meanwhile, a guy who has more wins than anyone on the tour completely imploded, as Tiger Woods shot 5-over on the day, and finished at plus-1 for the tournament.

Baylor product Jimmy Walker overcame consecutive over-par rounds to shoot an even-par 71 on Sunday. Meanwhile, Texas native Bob Estes finished the tournament at 3-under, despite struggling to a 74 in the final round.
