Longhorn Network To Broadcast Wyoming, New Mexico Games

Texas football fans will have to wait for the Longhorns' game against Ole Miss this year to see their team on TV. That is, unless they have the Longhorn Network.

The controversial cable TV channel spearheaded by ESPN will broadcast the Longhorns games against Wyoming and New Mexico in 2012.

Somehow, I don't think demand to watch those glorified scrimmages will force cable companies around the state to relent. That is, unless Texas loses. That would send schadenfreude levels from OU and A&M fans through the roof.

But there is hope for the diehards who simply must see how David Ash looks as a sophomore, since there will almost certainly be a few sports bars in the Dallas area broadcasting the games. For that matter, there's a little thing called the internet where information "wants to be free" (i.e. bootleg streams).

Check back with SB Nation Dallas on Sep. 1 and Sep. 8 for a list of all the places you can legally watch the Longhorns and a nod and a wink towards the places where you can't.
