The 2012 Dallas Mavericks preseason schedule was announced on Thursday. Dirk Nowitzki will be leading the Mavs to Europe in October, where they will play their first competitive game of the 2012-13 NBA season in Berlin, against Alba Berlin, on Oct. 6 and then travel to Barcelona for an exhibition with FC Barcelona Regal on Oct. 9.
The remainder of the Mavericks' preseason schedule takes place in the States, with one game in Atlanta, one against Oklahoma City in Wichita, Kansas, and the remaining four at home, against Houston, Phoenix, New Orleans and Charlotte.
All these warm-ups lead up to Dallas' season opener in Los Angeles against the new look Lakers on Oct. 30 and then a second road game in Utah. The Mavericks begin their home schedule hosting the Bobcats on Nov. 3.
