The Texas Rangers look to rebound from two consecutive losses at the hands of the New York Yankees on Wednesday night, as Scott Feldman looks to right the ship for the Rangers.
Feldman, who has made the transition back to the rotation thanks to a rash of injuries to Texas' rotation, brings a 4.64 ERA and 1.30 WHIP into the contest. Feldman had his streak of three consecutive quality starts (and wins) broken in his last start, when he lost to the Tigers, allowing four runs on six hits in five and two thirds innings.
Joe Girardi will send Freddy Garcia to the mound, to take on Texas' struggling offense. Garcia carries a 6-5 record, 4.85 ERA and 1.37 WHIP into Wednesday's contest. Garcia has pitched well as of late, allowing three or fewer earned runs in each of his last four starts, dating back to July 24.
First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. CT. Televised coverage can be found nationally on ESPN and online at ESPN3.com, while local fans can catch the game on FOX Sports Southwest.
