The Dallas Cowboys seemed to play it pretty safe in Monday night's 3-0 win over the Oakland Raiders, and for everybody but rookie linebacker Kyle Wilber, that strategy might have paid off.

Wilber, the team's fourth-round draft pick, broke his thumb during the game and is expected to miss at least a month. Otherwise, the team has yet to report any other injuries from the game.

While the offense didn't produce much to write home about, the team avoided losing any other players to a major injury. Granted, that was aided by the fact that the team didn't start many of its starters (and didn't dress 16 of its 90 players), but escaping otherwise unscathed is a much brighter silver lining than escaping with an ugly win in a preseason game.

Starters Miles Austin, Phil Costa, Jay Ratliff, Jason Hatcher and Morris Claiborne all sat out the game. Dez Bryant, who was questionable leading up to the game, played and caught a pass.
