Preseason All-American Honorable Mentions: Alex Okafor and Jackson Jeffcoat, Texas

Texas Longhorn defensive linemen Alex Okafor and Jackson Jeffcoat were honorable mentions in SB Nation's 2012 Preseason All-American Team, voted by our college football bloggers.

Jeffcoat recorded 71 tackles during his sophomore season, and led UT with eight sacks and 21 tackles for loss. Okafor, a senior, tallied seven sacks and 58 tackles last season for the Longhorns and coach Mack Brown. The 6-foot-4, 265-pound end played in all 13 games and had 14 tackles for loss in 2011.

The duo fell short of making the All-American team, which was comprised of LSU defensive end Sam Montgomery and Michigan State's Williams Ghoston. Defensive tackles Kawann Short of Purdue and Star Lotulelei of Utah filled out the defensive line, as voted by the network's bloggers.
