The Dallas Cowboys begin their 2012 preseason on Monday Night Football against the Oakland Raiders. The two teams are the last NFL teams to begin preseason play.

The Cowboys are coming off a season in which they went a disappointing 8-8, but they should be strong offensively as they return all of their major playmakers from last season. Tony Romo is again at the helm of it all as he returns from a season in which he threw for 4,184 yards and 31 touchdowns.

This time a year ago, DeMarco Murray was a rookie third round pick, just trying to secure his spot on the 53-man roster. This season, Murray begins the preseason as the Cowboys starting running back after an impressive rookie season in which he ran for 897 yards on 164 carries.

Third-year wide receiver Dez Bryant is questionable to play Monday night. He was diagnosed with a hamstring strain Saturday and will most likely sit out of the first preseason game for precautionary measures. Bryant is poised for a breakout season with some calling him the best offensive player in training camp.

Game Date/Time: Monday, August 13; 8:00 p.m. ET

Location: Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, Oakland, Calif.

TV Schedule: ESPN, KTVT 11 (Dallas)
