Anthony Fera Injury: Kicker Suffers Groin Strain

Place kicker Anthony Fera just transfered from Penn State to attend Texas, but after being on campus for just a short time has a setback this fall camp. Fera had re-aggravated a groin strain, and at this time there is no set timetable for his return. A groin strain for a kicker is serious and can linger for a while, so for the time being Fera will be sidelined.

Texas was eager to land Fera since the kicking situation had no clear front runner, but now they are back to where they started and will now look at Ben Pruitt, William Russ, Michael Davidson, Nick Jordan, Nick Rose and possibly others.

Ideally Texas will not have to trot out anyone other than Fera, but they can ease in one of these kickers if needed since their first two games are not against top notch competition.
