Rangers Vs. Tigers: Saturday Game Preview, TV Info And More

The Texas Rangers will try to avenge their opening series loss to the Detroit Tigers as the defending American League champions fell 6-2 on Friday.

Oh, and who do they get to face on Saturday evening? Just your run of the mill starting pitcher, Mr. Justin Verlander. Oh boy.

Verlander, who just finished off an impressive 14 strikeout performance versus the New York Yankees just five years ago, will try to tame a similarly talented Rangers lineup in game two of the series. The Rangers will counter with Derek Holland, as the left-hander has struggled of late by losing three of his last four starts.

Date / Time: Saturday, August 11, 7:05 p.m. CT

Location: Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, Arlington, Texas

TV: TXA-21

Radio: 103.3 ESPN , 1540am ESPN Deportes

Probable Starters: Justin Verlander (12-7) vs. Derek Holland (7-6)
