The Rangers host the Twins in the final series of baseball's first half, before a slew of Texas players and Ron Washington head to K.C. for the All-Star Game.

The Rangers look to close out of the first half of the MLB season with a comfortable lead in the AL West. They'll open a three-game series with the Twins while leading the Angels by four games in the division.

21-year-old Martin Perez will get his second start after a solid win over the A's, allowing two runs on six hits in 5 1/3 innings. Perez is starting in place of rotation regular Yu Darvish, who was voted to the AL All-Star team on Thursday.
