In finding out how much money cities will bid for this Champions Bowl, SEC Commissioner Mike Slive said Requests for Proposal will be sent to cities this week or next week. Dallas and Atlanta have expressed interest early. Reports on Monday indicated this game won't necessarily be a bowl, but more so just a big money exhibition between the SEC and Big 12 champions.
Dallas, New Orleans and Atlanta are expected to rotate hosting the Champions, according to reports.
Source told me July 4 the Champions Bowl won't be a bowl, per se, but rotate into bowl structure & move btw Dallas/NO/Atl, maybe Orlando.

The Champions Bowl, like the Rose Bowl is essentially a mechanism designed to produce more bowl revenue.
"Hopefully it will be done in the very near future," Slive said via al.com. "It's something that needs to be done so the BCS can go out in the market place and do what it's going to do."
