The 2012 British Open at Royal Lytham & St. Annes Golf Club kicks off early Thursday morning, but because of the five hour time distance from the East coast, viewing coverage in the states will be a little tough.
The first player to tee off will take place at 1:19 a.m. EST.
Television viewing coverage stateside will begin at 4:30 a.m. EST with ESPN broadcasting live. The network will also stream the event live on their WatchESPN site which begins an hour earlier than the television coverage, at 3:30 a.m. EST.
There will also be a mobile option for those interested via The Open Championship's official mobile app which will have streaming as well as live scoring updates.
