Heisman winning QB Robert Griffin III has announced on his Twitter feed that he has officially signed with the Washington Redskins.
Multiple outlets are reporting that Griffin III signed a four-year contract, worth $21.1 million, all guaranteed. In comparision, last year's second overall selection Von Miller also signed a four-year contract worth $21 million. The contract also includes an option for a fifth year.
The contract also does not include any "offset language," which was a big plus for RG3. Without any offset language in the contract, RG3 will earn the entire contract plus whatever amount the new teams signs him for if he is released before his contract expires.
Griffin will report to Redskins training camp this week with the rest of the Redskins rookies before the veterans report to Redskins Park in Ashburn, VA.
