2012 NCAA Super Regionals: Baylor Gets Past Arkansas, 8-1

Baylor is now one win away from advancing to the 2012 College World Series after defeating Arkansas 8-1 in the first game of the Waco Super Regional. Trent Blake pitched a complete game for Baylor and allowed only seven hits, one run and struck out five batters.

Baylor got on the scoreboard first when Logan Vick hit a two-run home run to give the Bears an early 2-0 lead. That lead expanded to 4- 0 when Baylor scored two more runs in the third inning which included a solo home run by Josh Ludy, and then a RBI double by Cal Towey.

The scoring continued for Baylor as they scored one run in the fourth, fifth, seventh and eighth innings to ultimately win 8-1. The Baylor offense was led by Vick who went 2-for-4, with a pair of home runs, three RBI and two runs.
