2012 Belmont Stakes: Time, TV Schedule, Odds And More

The 2012 Belmont Stakes is set for Saturday night in the great state of New York, and even though I'll Have Another won't have another, there's still plenty of reasons for casual horse racing fans to tune in.

Admittedly, the race has lost some of its luster, as I'll Have Another was looking to become the first horse since Affirmed to win the Triple Crown, but it's still a Triple Crown race -- and the last one of 2012 at that.

Coming into the weekend, I'll Have Another was the odds-on favorite to win the race. Since he's been scratched, oddsmakers and bettors alike have scrambled to anoint a new favorite, but it looks like they've settled on Dullahan.

Here are the latest odds for each horse, sorted by post position:

  1. Street Life, 8-1
  2. Unstoppable U, 20-1
  3. Union Rags, 3-1
  4. Atigun, 15-1
  5. Dullahan, 9-5
  6. Ravelo's Boy, 30-1
  7. Five Sixteen, 30-1
  8. Guyana Star Dweej, 30-1
  9. Paynter, 7-2
  10. Optimizer, 15-1
  11. I'll Have Another, scratched
  12. My Adonis, 15-1
Union Rags, who was favored to win the Kentucky Derby, also has quite favorable odds in the Belmont, coming in at 3-1.

Televised coverage of the Belmont will begin at 2:00 p.m. CT on NBC Sports Network, before switching over to NBC at 3:30 p.m. CT. Post time is not scheduled until 5:30 p.m. CT, so if you're looking only to catch the race, be sure to tune in a little prior to 5:30.

Racing fans can watch the race live online at NBC Sports' official website as well.
