EA Sports Thinks Texas Is Going To Be Really, Really Good This Season

The gang over at SB Nation's college football page has some unofficial numbers that could be the ratings for EA's latest NCAA Football entry, NCAA '13, and WOAH, TEXAS: of all the teams rated, the Longhorns seem to be, uh, heavily endorsed by the digital community, sharing a status of a "99" overall team with real-world national title contenders Oregon, LSU, Wisconsin and USC:

(The numbers, in order, represent the overall rating, then offense, defense and "prestige," which affects your ability to recruit):

Baylor 87 88 84 3

Texas 99 91 99 6

SMU 89 89 84 3

TCU 93 94 87 5

We know Alabama lost a few members from its dominant national title winning defense, but even the Tide's D is rated a 95, four points lower than Manny Diaz's less than shutdown squad of 2011. These numbers might not be final, or might be bunk althogether, but NCAA 13 looks like a must-have for any Longhorns fan wanting to play out any number of BCS fantasies this fall.
