Wimbledon Scores And Results: Andy Roddick Packs His Bags

Andy Roddick will watch the Wimbledon trophy go elsewhere once again.

Roddick can head home from the All England Club, after losing his 3rd round match to Spain's seventh-ranked David Ferrer, 2-6, 7-6 (10-8), 6-4, 6-3.

The 30th-seeded Roddick looked fantastic in the first set, beating Ferrer with a bevy of shots. Unfortunately for Roddick, Ferrer took him apart after that starting with an epic second set in which he won the tiebreak.

In other news around Wimbledon:

Minnesota native Mardy Fish turned 21-year-old David Goffin into old news in straight sets. Although Goffin didn't go quietly, forcing two tiebreaks before capitulating (6-3, 7-6 (8-6), 7-6 (8-6). The No. 5 seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga defeated the Slovenian Lukas Lacko easily to move into next week (6-3, 6-4, 6-4).

On the women's side, Serena Williams did what was expected of her, despite being pushed to the limit against No. 25 Jie Zhang. Williams had to gut out a victory but got through alive, 6-7 (5-7), 6-2, 9-7.
