Now that the NBA lockout, Miami Heat, and Drake have ruined Olympic basketball this year, we can realistically envision Lamar Odom on the team. No, seriously. The game's elite, specifically its champions, won't be competing.
Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade have both made it known they'll forgo the Olympics in London, which they certainly reserve the right to do so even if they aren't hoisting an NBA Championship trophy. But it's clear that all of the good we've seen in Miami, from the Mavericks winning a championship on their floor last year, to the Heat prevailing against the Thunder team that beat Dallas this season, is at the detriment of our Olympic basketball entertainment.
Chris Bosh's loss to USA Basketball is huge as they quietly found him to be more productive than Dwight Howard.

Oh but we can expect to see the youngsters, which Bron, Wade and Bosh were still considered the last time we made the Olympic go 'round. What a difference a decision and subsequent championship makes.
Odom actually has fresh legs so don't be surprised if averages 35 & 15 in London. OK, I'm kidding now.
