The 2012 Championships at Wimbledon continued on Tuesday. The second day of the first round in the most prestigious and famous tennis tournament in the world featured far less drama and unexpected fireworks than Monday's first day of play, but contained plenty of solid action.
No. 2 men's seed Rafael Nadal advanced with ease after falling behind early to Brazilian opponent Thomaz Bellucci, winning in three sets, 7-6, 6-2, 6-3. Serena Williams also picked up a first-round win in straight sets, defeating Barbora Zahlahova, 6-2, 6-4.
Also advancing was American men's player Sam Querrey, who defeated his Canadian opponent Vasek Pospisil in four sets, 7-5, 6-7, 6-3, 6-4. Andy Roddick has not yet finished his opening round match on Tuesday and No. 4 men's seed Andy Murray has yet to play.
