2012 U.S. Open Odds: Tiger Woods Is The Early Favorite To Win

The 2012 U.S. Open will finally get underway on Thursday, with a wide field of the world's very best golfers competing to take home the second Grand Slam title of the year. Local boy Hunter Mahan is in the mix of course, as is Masters winner Bubba Watson, defending U.S. Open champ Rory McIlroy and every other big name you would expect.

The early odds have Mahan at 40/1 to win the entire tournament, which may sound bad but puts him well ahead of most of the field as far as oddsmakers are concerned. Tiger Woods remains the early favorite to win, at 6/1.

Here are the top odds to win the 2012 U.S. Open:

Tiger Woods 6/1
Lee Westwood 10/1
Luke Donald 12/1
Rory McIlroy 14/1
Phil Mickelson 20/1
Dustin Johnson 25/1
Jason Dufner 25/1
Justin Rose 28/1
Matt Kuchar 28/1

Jim Furyk 33/1
Rickie Fowler 33/1
Zach Johnson 33/1
