Baylor Bears fans won't forget the loss that forced a decisive Game 3 against Arkansas in the Waco Super Regional for a chance to play in the College World Series. Still, Baylor isn't shying away from the moment, even going as far as to embrace the adversity just to see what they're all about.
Here is what Baylor head coach Steve Smith had to say following the loss in Game 2:
"Without adversity, we never know who we are," Smith said. "This is a kick in the gut. I told them that when they took their uniform off today, this game is over. If you have to sit over there until 10 o'clock tonight then do it, but when you take the uniform off this game is done. If you had told me at the beginning of the year that we could take this group of guys and we could have a one game go to Omaha with Arkansas, I am in."
The Razorbacks are the same team which prevailed through the Houston Regional tournament, perhaps on its way to making a terror through the Lone Star State. Arkansas and Baylor play Monday night at 6:05 p.m. CT.
