Dallas-Baptist (39-17) will make their second consecutive at-large berth in the NCAA Baseball Tournament on Friday when they face UT-Arlington (36-23, a school record for total wins) in the Waco, Texas regional hosted by Baylor University. UT-Arlington enters the tournament on an automatic bid, having swept the Southland Conference Tournament with a perfect 4-0 run last weekend.
UT-A will be making their first postseason appearance since 2006, and are looking to beat familiar foe DBU for the second postseason win in UT-A history (the Mavericks are 1-8 all-time). The teams met twice in the 2012 season, with DBU winning both games, 3-0 and 12-6. The schools have met 59 times total.
The winner of Friday's game will meet the winner of the No. 1 / No. 4 match-up between No. 4 ranked Baylor and Oral Roberts on Saturday afternoon.
