Texas Vs. Missouri Baseball: Longhorns Lose To Tigers 7-6 in 11 Innings

The No. 25 ranked Texas Longhorns fell on the road to the Missouri Tigers 7-6 in 11 innings. In the bottom of the 11 inning pinch hitter Case Munson hit a sacrifice fly which allowed Dillon Everett to score from third base to defeat Texas. The win for Missouri also allowed them to win the series against Texas.

Texas got off to the early 2-0 lead, but in the bottom of the fourth inning Missouri made their move by scoring four runs with three off them coming off of a Dane Opel home run. Missouri scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the seventh to go up 6-3, but in the top of the eighth Texas came back to tie the game at six thanks to small ball.

Then after a scoreless 10th and top of 11th, Missouri earned the win on the sacrifice fly. Corey Knebel took the loss for Texas bringing his record to 3-4 on the season. He pitched 5 and 2/3 innings, allowed six hits, three runs, two which were earned, one walk and striking out five batters.
