No. 25 Texas (26-16, 12-6) and the Missouri Tigers (23-21, 7-11) will play this weekend as Big 12 opponents for the final time, before the Tigers take off for the Southeastern Conference next season. The Longhorns head to Columbia after taking a 5-2 midweek win over Prairie View A&M in Austin on Tuesday.
The series opens up Friday evening at 6 p.m. with Texas freshman Parker French (5-2, 2.89) on the hill for the 'Horns, facing Missouri southpaw Rob Zastryzny (4-2, 3.58). Augie Garrido has not yet set his starters for the Saturday and Sunday games, both scheduled for 1 p.m. CDT.
All three games will be broadcast on Austin's KVET 1300 AM. This weekend's series marks the next to last time Texas goes on the road this year; the Longhorns return home for a Saturday doubleheader against Texas Southern next weekend before closing out the regular season against No. 2 Baylor, with two out of three games to be played at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.
