For the first time in 14 years, the Texas Longhorns failed to make it in the field of 64 for the NCAA Baseball Tournament. Considering the Longhorns' storied history in college baseball, it is an especially awkward year for this to happen, with Texas A&M, Baylor and Rice all hosting regional tournaments, respectively.
Those tournaments include other Texas schools like Sam Houston State, TCU, UT-Arlington, and Prairie View A&M to name a few. But not the illustrious Longhorns, though.
For the first time since 1998, #Texas baseball was not selected for the NCAA post season. #Longhorns #Big12 #hookem

No Texas in the tournament field. Little like last year when #LSU missed it. Love 'em/hate 'em, Longhorns are big part of college baseball.
