The 2012 Mountain West baseball tournament gets underway in Las Vegas Thursday night with the top four team from the Mountain West. New Mexico and TCU are the top two seeds and both teams split their games at three games apiece and had the same record in league play, but New Mexico earned the top seed after going through the tie breaker process.
TCU's first game is against No. 3 seeded San Diego State and during the regular season the Horned Frogs went 4-2 against the Aztecs.
With TCU's pitching strength they have to be the favorite to win the Mountain West tournament despite splitting the season series with new New Mexico this season. Look for the final to be between TCU and New Mexico.
