2012 NCAA Baseball Regional Projections: Baylor To Host Waco Regional

The Baylor Bears, being the No. 6 baseball team in the country and all, are projected to host their own Waco Regional tournament in the postseason. Baylor had a remarkable season, winning 24 games straight at one stretch, but these are going to be the ones that count.

Projected to be in the Waco Regional with Baylor is TCU, Sam Houston State and Prairie View A&M. The Bearkats and Panthers are the regular season conference champions for the Southland and SWAC, respectively. TCU finished as co-champions of the Mountain West Conference.

Other Texas schools projected to host regionals are Rice in Houston and Texas A&M in College Station. LSU, the nation's No. 2-ranked team by Baseball America, is also projected to host its own regional in Baton Rouge, where the Texas Longhorns are expected to fall in.
