Rangers Vs. Astros Final Score: Texas Claims First Game In Series

The Texas Rangers won the first game of the Silver Boot series against the Houston Astros by shutting down their bats to win 4-1.The Rangers got on the board first in the top of the third when they scored a pair of runs when Adrian Beltre hit a sacrifice fly to center field to score Ian Kinsler and the second run of the game came when Nelson Cruz singled to center field and scored Michael Young.

Even though starting pitcher Neftali Feliz only pitched 4.2 innings and allowed just three hits and one run he was pulled due to surpassing the 100 pitches on the night. Robbie Ross replaced Feliz and pitched 2.1 innings and earned the win. Ross and the rest of the Rangers relievers were able to shut out the Astros over the final 5.1 innings.

Beltre led the way for the Rangers on offense as he went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI and a home run.
