Big 12-SEC Bowl Partnership: DeLoss Dodds Praises Conference Stability

With the recent announcement of the bowl partnership between the Big 12 and the SEC, the schools in those conferences are feeling more stable in the ever-changing world of college sports.

A year ago, the Big 12 was hanging on by a thread, but Texas reaffirmed its commitment to the Big 12, and now the conference is in a great position. Texas AD DeLoss Dodds said as much in a statement released today. From ESPN.com:

"This is another example of the strength and stability of the Big 12 Conference. In the last month alone we have introduced this game and a commissioner that is absolutely right for this league. In addition, we are in the process of formulating one of the top TV deals in college sports. The Big 12 is strong, stable and united."

Ah yes, the all-important TV deals that are slowly (or quickly) destroying college football's traditions.
