C.J. Wilson To Make Angels Debut On Monday

The Rangers aren't the only team showing off a shiny new toy on Monday night. C.J. Wilson will start on the road for the Angels on Monday, as he makes his Angels debut in Minnesota against the Twins.

Wilson left the Rangers for their rival over the winter, signing a five year, $77.5 million dollar backloaded deal with the Angels. That the Rangers let him walk away for such a reasonable contract is somewhat telling -- especially since they let him sign with their biggest AL West competition -- and maybe biggest American League competition in general.

Regardless, it'll be interesting to see how Wilson fares in Los Angeles. Should Rangers fans hate him? Nah, that's silly. He pitched very well for the Rangers, and was a 5.9 WAR pitcher last year. Should Rangers fans root against him? Sure, why not, Texas fans should want Los Angeles to lose -- and lose often.

Plus, even if Wilson gets shelled over the next five years, he'll have his television scripts, pool parties, racing teams, awesome iPads, really cool houses, dream cars and supermodels to fall back on.
