Hunter Mahan has completed his third round at the 2012 Masters and he shot a 4-under 68, and is 4-under par for the tournament.
There are still golfers on the course, but as of now Mahan is only two strokes back of the current leaders of Phil Mickelson, Matt Kuchar, Peter Hanson and Louis Oosthuizen who are all at 6-under par. Mahan birdied holes No. 2, 5, 12, 13 and 15, but he did bogie hole No. 4, and he is currently tied with three other golfers at 4-under par.
The other Dallas-area golfer still in the field is Scott Verplank who is struggling near the bottom of the leader board. In the third round he shot a 3-over 75 and for the tournament he is at 7-over par and tied for 52.
