TCU Hires LSU's Trent Johnson To Be Next Basketball Coach

The TCU Horned Frogs have found their replacement to Jim Christian who left TCU to head back to the MAC to coach the Ohio Bobcats. Multiple sources are reporting that LSU Tigers head coach Trent Johnson has agreed to take over for TCU with the official announcement to be made on Monday.

Johnson has been at LSU for the past four seasons with mild success and with an overall record of 58-59 with one NCAA tournament appearance in 2008-09 before struggling for two years and then bringing LSU back into the postseason this past year with a trip to the NIT.

Other accomplishments in Johnson's coaching career it taking the Nevada Wolf Pack and the Stanford Cardinal to the Sweet 16, so for TCU to lose a coach to the MAC but to pick up one from the SEC is quite remarkable. This hire definitely helps TCU to move in the right direction for their inaugural year in the Big 12.
