Masters 2012 Leaderboard Update: Hunter Mahan In Early Contention At -3

With the first round of the 2012 Masters well underway Thursday, Hunter Mahan, an Oklahoma State golfer who currently resides in Colleyville, is among the people at the top of the leaderboard.

Mahan has gotten off to a blistering start, with a -3 score through five holes. He is one stroke behind England's Lee Westwood, who leads the field with a -4 through eight holes.

The leader for most of the day was Sweden's Henrik Stenson, who got as high as -5, but he fell apart over the last two holes, returning to the clubhouse with a -1.

Lurking behind Mahan and Westwood is Tiger Woods (through 16) whose been holding steady at -2 for most of the day.

The other local golfers haven't been as hot as Mahan, as Scott Verplank (through 15) is at E, while Harrison Frazar finished the day at +1.
