NCAA Baseball 2012: Josh Turley Leads Bears To Record Home Win Streak Friday

Ace junior southpaw Josh Turley pitched beyond the call of duty on Friday night, as he carried a no-hitter into the eighth in a 5-0 Baylor win over New Mexico State. The win was Baylor's 19th straight at home, setting a school record for a home winning streak.

Turley (7-0, 1.74) allowed a single to Tanner Waite in the eighth that ended his evening at 106 pitches, after he struck out five and gave up two walks. Crayton Bare and Joey Hainsfurther closed down the win for Baylor, combining for 1.2 innings of scoreless relief.

The Bears' offense did little in the first five innings, as starter Ryan Beck kept posting zeroes for the Aggies. In the sixth, a walk and three straight singles plated one run for Baylor, and Cal Towey capped the rally with a two-run double. Jake Miller went 2-for-4 and knocked in another run in the eighth.
