Texas' hardballers open up a two-week homestand Tuesday against the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders after spending Easter weekend on the road.

Tuesday's non-league game provides an opportunity to warm up for two Big 12 home series against Oklahoma State and Kansas. The No. 23 Longhorns (17-12, 7-2) won't have to play on the road again until they play the opener of a split series against No. 2 Texas A&M in College Station on April 27th.

Freshman southpaw Dillon Peters (1-0, 3.45) will start for Texas. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (13-18, 6-9 Southland) skip Scott Malone will put junior lefthander Jake Dziubczynski (0-2, 4.58) on the hill. Longhorn third baseman Erich Weiss will look to stay hot against Dziubczynski after earning Phillips 66 Big 12 Player of the Week honors for his .588/.611/.824 effort in last weekend's Texas Tech series.

The 6 p.m. game at UFCU Disch-Falk Field will be broadcast on the Longhorn Network and called by Carter Blackburn and Greg Swindell.
