NBA Standings 2012: After Recovering From 4-Game Skid, Mavericks Are No. 6 Seed In West

In the NBA, any team is capable of beating you on a given night. The Dallas Mavericks learned this first hand, as during their four-game losing streak they incurred losses against teams that many wold consider respectable in the Memphis Grizzlies and the Los Angeles Lakers. However, losses to the New Orleans Hornets and the New Jersey Nets? Not so much.

Regardless, with a win over the Utah Jazz, the Mavericks are back on the winning side and now find themselves sitting at No. 6 seed in the Western Conference standings. Everyone wants to be able to host a first round playoff series if possible, and the Mavs are just two losses behind the Lakers in the standings for the No. 4 spot.

Here are the full Western Conference standings going into Sunday, March 5th.
