Brittney Griner hasn't managed her usual output in the scoring column, but she and her Lady Bear teammates are in control halfway through their Elite Eight contest with Tennessee, up 35-20 through 20 minutes.
Despite scoring just eight points on 3-10 shooting, Griner has made her presence felt, grabbing eight rebounds and blocking seven shots.
She catalyzed a dominant defensive effort from Baylor, which held Tennessee to just 21.6 percent shooting and 1-9 shooting from beyond the three-point line.
Kimetra Hayden and Odyssey Sims each scored in double figures for the Bears, combining for 23 points and leading the way on the offensive end.
The winner of tonight's contest will advance to the Final Four, to be played in Denver starting next Sunday.
