Don't expect the two-time defending American League champion Texas Rangers to fall off a cliff anytime soon. The prospect gurus over at Baseball America published their organizational talent rankings for 2012, using each system's prospect eligible players.
The Rangers are at the top of the list, likely thanks in large part to the addition of Yu Darvish over the winter, who is considered a prospect by Baseball America.
It's enough of an accomplishment to win a pennant, and it's an even more amazing to win back-to-back pennants. But to do so without mortgaging the future? It's nothing short of phenomenal, and it goes to show that Jon Daniels is one of the, if not the, best general manager in the business right now.
Texas' system, per BA, is led by Darvish and shortstop Jurickson Profar, who both cracked the top ten list of Baseball America's top 100 prospects list, published in February.
