2012 NBA All-Star Game Halftime Score: West Leads 88-69, Dirk Nowitzki Is Scoreless

Dirk Nowitzki is making his 11th NBA All-Star appearance, however he has not done a lot in this game. Nowitzki has played only six minutes and has been held scoreless, so maybe he his just holding back for the second half before he puts up some points.

The Western team has not needed Nowitzki to put up any points since the Oklahoma City Thunder duo of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook are the two leading scorers. Durant had 21 and Westbrok has 17 points and the 88 first half points is a NBA All-Star record.

Former Maverick Steve Nash is in the same boat as Nowitzki as he has zero points, but he does have four assists. Even though the Western team has a 19-point halftime lead, there is no lead that is safe in an NBA All-Star game, so the West just may need Nowitzki to put up a few points in the second half.
