Super Bowl 46: New York Giants Vs. New England Patriots

No, the Cowboys aren't in the Super Bowl, but you'll still watch anyway as Tom Brady looks for his fourth Super Bowl ring.

It's been a turbulent journey, beginning with the lockout over the summer, but we've finally arrived: the end of the 2011-12 NFL season. Unfortunately for Cowboys fans, Tony Romo and company didn't make the playoffs, and they flirted with a playoff berth all year long. Also unfortunately for Cowboys fans, one of their biggest rivals is in the Super Bowl for the second time in four years, as the New York Giants take on the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 46 on Sunday night in Indianapolis.

Cowboys fans may be bitter -- and rightfully so -- that the Giants ended their season, and are now in the Super Bowl. Luckily, Cowboys fans can always root against the Giants, as I suggested two weeks ago. It seems odd to think of the Patriots as underdogs, but they almost are, given that the Giants have seemingly become media darlings during their latest run to the Super Bowl.

The game should be a close game, given New York and New England's last three meetings have been determined by three, three and four points each.

While it'll be tough for Dallas fans to watch, there's no reason not to sit back and enjoy the game. You're going to miss football when it's gone, and after Sunday, it'll be gone until August.
