The Dallas Marathon, which will take place on Sunday, Dec. 9, has undergone some changes this past year. The name changed from the Dallas White Rock Marathon to the Dallas Marathon, following the lead of other major cities simply using the city name as the descriptor.
The course marathon and half-marathon courses underwent some changes since last year as well. The new course will start and finish near the Dallas Convention Center, and will incorporate popular Dallas landmarks as well as scenic stretches. The organizers have provided a map to show the different routes the marathon and half-marathon will take.
They have also written down specific directions concerning the course the marathon will take.
Four different races will start on Sunday at 8 a.m. There is the marathon, half-marathon, five-person relay and the corporate relay. All four events help benefit the Scottish Rites Hospital for Children. You can make a direct donation to the hospital here.
