The Baylor Bears made 9 of 18 three point attempts en route to a 79-64 win over the BYU Cougars. While the Bears were hot from long range, BYU finished just 2 of 12 from beyond the arc. BYU led the majority of the first half, and trailed by just four entering halftime. The Bears came out strong in the second half, and put the game firmly out of reach well before the final buzzer.
Baylor finished the game with all five starters scoring in double figures. The Bears were led by Cory Jefferson, who finished with 13 points and 16 rebounds. Isaiah Austin also finished with a double-double for Baylor, ending with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Pierre Jackson had 10 points and nine assists to go along with four steals and three rebounds.
BYU forward Brandon Davies led all scorers with 26 points to go along with 17 rebounds, three assists, three steals and a block. Tyler Haws was the only other Cougar to finish in double figures, finishing with 13 points.
