Cowboys vs. Saints injury report: DeMarco Murray limited, Jay Ratliff out

The Cowboys are perched close to the NFC's final playoff spot as they travel to New Orleans this Sunday.

Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

If the Cowboys want to hold onto the hope of making the playoffs, they need to be as healthy as possible. Dallas ended Thursday's practice in good shape

Running back DeMarco Murray was limited with a foot injury after missing Wednesday's session. Wide receiver Dez Bryant was limited, as well, with a finger injury. The only Cowboy to sit out Thursday was nose tackle Jay Ratliff who is dealing with a groin injury. Linebackers Ernie Sims (concussion) and DeMarcus Ware (elbow) were both limited.

Calling the NFC Wild Card playoff race "crowded" would be an understatement. Currently, the Minnesota Vikings are holding onto the sixth spot at 8-6. Three other teams, the Chicago Bears, Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants sport the same record, but thanks to tiebreakers, they are on the outside looking in. The Seattle Seahawks own the fifth spot at 9-5, but even with a loss, they would stay in that spot, owning tiebreakers over every aforementioned team save for the Giants.
