The Texas Longhorns have a critical game at the end of the regular season against current BCS No. 2 rated Kansas State, but for that game to matter in the Big 12 race Texas needs some help. Kansas State holds a two game lead over Texas, with each team having two conference games before they face each other on December 1.
Kansas State would need to lose a game at TCU or Baylor for Texas to have a chance at a conference title. Oklahoma would also need to lose a game. Texas also must take care of its own business before it gets there with home games against Iowa State and TCU.
The Cyclones enter Saturday's 11am game on the Longhorn Network after losing 35-20 at home to Oklahoma. Iowa State is still a win short of bowl eligibility at 5-4, and they have lost three of their last four games. Texas, in the meantime, is coming off of a 31-22 win at Texas Tech and has won three in a row overall.
