Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray has missed the last five games with a left foot injury and it is unclear if the starting tailback will be able to play on Thursday against the Redskins. Owner Jerry Jones, speaking to the media after Sunday's overtime win over Cleveland, stated that's unsure of Murray's status.
Per Rainer Sabin of the Dallas Morning News:
"I don't know," Jones said. "We'll see how he goes. But I was sure impressed when I saw a highlight or two of the Redskins against Philadelphia. We don't want to save anything from the Redskins."
The Redskins are now 4-6 on the season after a 31-6 rout of the Philadelphia Eagles on the road, turning Thursday's game against the Cowboys into an incredibly important contest in the NFC East. Murray gained 73 yards on 25 carries against Washington in Nov. 2011, a 27-24 win for the Cowboys at home.
With Murray out, Felix Jones has gotten the majority of the carries for a rushing attack that has nearly hit rock bottom in the NFL.
